3D bullet hell with intricate patterns
Witch Thief is an older game released in 2017 and last updated in 2018, which features a witch hero attempting to obtain a grimoire out of a fantastical kingdom. Projectiles are flying everywhere, and you can dodge, use your ultimate ability, and shoot magic bullets in hopes of staying alive.
Somewhat ridiculous gameplay
This game is challenging and even borders on somewhat ridiculous. I couldn’t get out of the first level on “normal,” even with a few attempts, and ended up using the “easy” setting. There are five levels, and just getting to the second one was nigh impossible.
If you like shmup challenges, then Witch Thief might be a good pickup. But just in this boss battle below, I was just lucky to get through to the end, even with way more lives on easy. I have no idea how you’d get through this with the regular three lives.
