Syscrusher Video Game Review

Grade: B+

Play as a killer sysadmin in this cyberpunk first-person shooter

SysCrusher was a lovely jaunt into the life of a cyberpunk mercenary who beats down on rogue computer systems. The opening drops you right into the action with a restless soldier of fortune looking for a contract, and it’s an action-packed ride all the way to the final credits.

The controls are pretty standard for a FPS, but I did like the addition of the “concentrate” feature. You can slow time for a sec or to make a careful headshot of the enemies.

Relatively simple controls

As you make your way through the game, the guns you retrieve are a laser pistol, a shotgun, a machine gun, and the piece de resistance is the rocket launcher at the end.

Syscrusher is a short game overall, but it packs a lot of character into its 30 minutes of gameplay. There’s three bosses total, and none of them are too crazy. For your enjoyment, I included the final boss below.

It’s a “name your own price” game on Itch, so I definitely recommend picking up a copy and playing.
